I admit it, I’m a talker. Communication is part of my soul.

Since online marketing became such a huge part of the world we live in, I have developed specialist skills to support brands and businesses to tell their story online, and in August 2016, I started eightyfour. I believe communication is the foundation for brands and business owners to maintain loyal and long-lasting relationships with their customers. You can have the best product or service, but if not communicated in a way that your audience wants to be talked to, you may not see the results you are after.

With 12+ years connecting people to brands, I have mastered various channels and strategies to talk directly and specifically to both broader, and more  tailored audiences. I have worked with global brands such as phil&teds and Mountain Buggy, aviation leader gategroup, disruptive New Zealand energy company Flick Electric Co. and Edwards & Co. I have the ability to think big and act local so that messaging speaks to people authentically; with a clear brand voice.

My experience has spanned across hiring talent, people development, championing company culture and internal brand, communications, marketing - events, partnerships, content creation, social, online/digital and community building. I have worked for companies that are genuinely customer focussed, ethical and actually make a positive impact on people's lives.

In a digital world, I truly believe there needs to be a balance of brand story and high-growth goals when writing for Google - you can’t just go after numbers - it’s quality not quantity that will keep your customers happy for longer, and improve word of mouth - which is still one of the top ways to convert people!

When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d respond that I wanted to help people - and this is what I strive to do via my ability to communicate and connect. I am a natural problem solver! I love to guide and support small business owners and their staff to successfully share their offering to the world, with a keen focus on online marketing. If there’s a marketing problem, challenge or requirement, I look at the big picture with you, and work out a smart way to tackle it for a positive, productive and profitable outcome.
